OVERVIEW
The project
Point Pickup operates in last-mile delivery, coordinating between retailers, orders and the drivers who fulfil them. Allzone contributed engineering to the platform behind that coordination.
CHALLENGE
What made it difficult
Last-mile logistics is a live coordination problem. Orders, driver availability and delivery state all change continuously, and the system has to stay consistent while every input is moving.
The tolerance for latency is low on every side: a retailer needs certainty, a driver needs the next instruction immediately, and a customer expects an accurate status.
